The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Winning will make you famous. Losing means certain death. In a dark vision of the near future, a terrifying reality TV show is taking place. Twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live event called the Hunger Games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed. When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature.
My Review : A fucking mazing This is one of the most realistic and amazing books i have read in such a long time ( besides the fault in our stars and the perks of being a wallflower) let me start by saying this being my second Dystopian novel first was divergent but i love that book but had some issues with it but luckily this book i did not. So many don't like this trilogy because it's kids killing kids but i disagree. i have found it to be very gripping and i couldn't stop reading for a minute. Katniss Everdeen is such a kick-ass main character that i loved so much. i do understand why so many people dislike the movie directed by Gray Ross but i loved it they did change a few things but the changes they did do are okay with me. overall I highly Recommend this book to anyone who likes dystopian novels 5/5 stars highly loved this action packed futuristic world. if you want to see my video review of The Hunger Games please click the link below :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuGsYu...

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Magic is dangerous but love is more dangerous still. When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos. Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What’s more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own. Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by and torn between two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length . . . everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world. . . . and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.
My Review : Cassandra Clare does it again....... 5/5 Stars... okay guys let me tell you that the Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare is my favorite series of all time. so when i found out there was a prequel series called the infernal devices. i jumped on amazon to get it and i was so not disappointed in the least with this book. Clockwork Angel is the first book in this series. so this book follow Tessa Grey who moves to find her brother to live with him well let just say that is not exactly what does down. instead Tessa is kidnapped by two ladies called the Dark sisters, who claim her brother send them to take Tessa throughout the city of London. instead we find out that The dark sister are in fact warlocks who work for the mystery man known as the Magister who wants to marry Tessa for some unknown reason. soon later Tessa is saved by the shadowhunter who protect the world from demons and Tessa is allowed to say at the London Institute and learns that she is in fact a downworlder with a power no one has ever seen before the power to turn herself into another person which i think is just awesome just saying. things get really intense when we find out that a man knows as Mortmain who seems to know more of shadowhunter world that he should sense he is in fact a mundane and that he is responsible for these clockwork creates that are not make by heaven or hell which is scare indeed to the Shadowhunters. over all i very much enjoyed this book Cassandra Clare has such a way of writing that i was blown away at like every other chapter. there are lots of twists in the mortal instruments series but the ones in clockwork angel i was sitting there thinking WTF.............. where in the hell did that come from................. but yes i really really really enjoyed this book i really loved that it look place in 1878 in the Victorian London time period totally awesome.... 5/5 stars :D if you would like to see my video review on clockwork angel please click the link below and enjoy :D : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQF97L...

Ali's Pretty Little Lies by Sara Shepard

Before there was A, there was Alison DiLaurentis. Boys wanted to date her, girls wanted to be her, and somebody wanted her dead. . . . It's the end of seventh grade, and Alison DiLaurentis and her friends are the girls of Rosewood Day. Ali runs her clique with an iron fist, and she's got enough dirt on Hanna, Emily, Aria, and Spencer to keep them in line. But Ali's hiding a dark secret of her own, something so huge it would destroy everything if it ever got out. She's desperate to keep the perfect life she's worked so hard to build, but in Rosewood deadly secrets have deadly consequences. . . . Set in the weeks leading up to Ali's murder, this special Pretty Little Liars tale is told by the prettiest little liar of all: Ali herself. For the first time ever, we see how the mystery began . . . and how Alison DiLaurentis's life ended.
My Review : SARA SHEPARD CANNOT WRITE A BAD BOOK, THIS BOOK BLEW ME WAY.... 5/5 Stars okay i have not read a pretty little liars book in 9 months. so when i got to get Ali's pretty little lies i was so happy. yes people have told me to have read the first 8 books first but to me i don't think you have to do that. but i would say you should read the first 5 books first so you can get some history and back story on the 5 main characters. this book is by far the best pretty little liars book i have read to date. This book is about Alison and Courtney DiLaurentis who are twins and when Courtney takes ali's place as the new Alison Dilaurentis lets just say things get well very intense. i really liked this book because it was a prequel to the 17 other PLL novels. and we got to see how the friendships between the four girls where formed and we got to also get inside Alison's head for the first time ever. over all i freaking loved this book and wish she would write another prequel someday 5/5 starts really really enjoyed :D

Purification by Dejana Vuletic

Time is running out. One of the Medallions is still missing, and now Blake is in the hands of Prince Balthazar, wasting away in a prison cell until the day he'll be sacrificed to bring Lord Orion back to life. Dessa Calder is dead, and the Keepers have lost all hope. Except McKenna. Determined to rescue her best friend and fulfill a destiny her mother left unfinished, McKenna takes on a greater challenge than she bargained for. The powers that once belonged to Dessa have somehow transferred to McKenna, giving her the power to set right everything her enemies have destroyed. But being a Keeper isn't that easy, especially when you aren't sure you can completely trust the people who claim to be your friends
My Review : THIS IS WHAT I CALL A GROUND BREAKING FINALE 5/5 STARS GO READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! Okay so after waiting about a year for the final book of the keeper of light trilogy let me just say this book was totally worth the year long wait. Purification by Dejana Vuletic it diffidently the best book out of the trilogy. we open with totally horror with the truth of dessa death which totally broke my heart into a million pieces. everyone feels the impact of sadness loss pain and heart acne. when you read this book and you see how completely heart broken Chris is when he see Dessa's cold stone broken bloody body i had to just stop reading and cry for like 30 minutes because this is a character we have been with for 2 books and have really gotten to know over the course of this story. Purification is also the most painful book in the trilogy to read because all of out beloved characters fall victim to pain, loss and utter tragedy because losing dessa to me felt like it changed these characters it make them really see who who they were and it make them so much stronger and more powerful people. this book has one of the biggest twists and turns that i have ever read it a book before. i wont completely tell you what's it's about in detail but i'll say it is connected to Balthazar. this is also my favorite book in the trilogy and when i got to the end i so did not want it to end and i am very glad with the end the story came to a very beautiful end and we got to experience such a beautiful story from start to finish. thank you so much dejana for not only writing this story but for creating such heart felt characters that i will read and reread or years to come once again thank you so much.....

Divergent by Veronica Roth

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is--she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself. During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are--and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, Tris also learns that her secret might help her save the ones she loves . . . or it might destroy her.
My Review : Huh I don't know how I feel about this! okay my real rating is actually a 3.5 out of 5. as much as I liked the book I didn't love it, mainly because I found most of the book to be just really flat and boring the book didn't get good until the last 6 chapters or so. I will still continue with the trilogy because I still love the story and tris is still one hell of a badass female character. this is my first distopian novel I've ever read and with that being said I really enjoyed the concept. thank you for everybody who recommended this book to me I thank you. if I could live in this world I would want to be in dauntless because they're such badasses. overall I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to start reading insurgent!!! update : December 24, 2013 okay so after thinking about divergent as a whole I've changed my rating from a 3.75 to a 5 star. this was indeed my first dystopian novel so I'm giving this book what it deserves in my personally opinion anyway. okay so after really thinking long and hard about divergent and really giving the story a fair shot to be amazing for me. i ended up loving this book Hole hardheartedly and i cant wait to start reading the next two books Insurgent and Allegiant.

Fallen by Lauren Kate

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her. Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.
My Review : For the last 4 years or so I've been hearing about Lauren Kate's fallen series and how epic and beautiful it is. So after I was gifted the whole series from my best friend ever. I started fallen every excited and found the writing style to be very strange but beautiful. From the first moment we meet Luce price I loved her as a character she was kind mysterious and fascinating. And then there's Daniel he very rude smart ass ( which I found to be so funny and enjoyable) and then we have Cam the nicest sweetest guy you're ever meet he was such an awesome character who for some reason picks fights with Daniel which I found to be Hilarious. My one and only problem with this book is nothing happened for like 300 pages. But besides that I really really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it 5/5 stars. okay after rereading the ending of the book again I truly understand why fallen had to be slow towards the beginning it was such a beautiful book with amazing characters and such an unexpected twist ending :) Lauren kate you're my new favorite author. I'll be read torment in January I want to take a break from this story for a month but yes I'll read the second book in January. such a dark and beautiful written book 5/5 outstanding stars. ps. if you loved the hush, hush series then this book is for you...

Prince of Wolves by Quinn Loftis

Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17-year-old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer are going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis lupis, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?
My Review : OH MY WEREWOLVES 5/5 STARS. Prince of wolves by Quinn Loftis is the first book in the grey wolves series. Let me just let you I was in love with the writing style two paragraphs in. ( that's amazing) prince of wolves starts off with a girl named Jacque Pierce staring out the window at the Henry's house because they were getting a foreign exchange student named Fane who is from Romanian. ( how awesome is that and unique ) well what changes things real fast is that fane speaks to Jacque in her throughts and says " soon". Which freaks her out so she runs to her phone and calls Jen and Sally her two best friends ( who are funny as all hell mainly Jen). After they calm her down and tells her maybe she was just tired she goes to sleep with sally and Jen. The next morning she finds out her mother is making a spread from fane abd the Henry's for lunch. The book is based in Coldspring, Texas ( I FREAKING LOVE TEXAS so about 20 pages in I already loved the book with passion). So as some people may know Texas is hot so I just throught that was so awesome I don't know it was just awesome. Anyway back to what I was saying, as jen ,sally and jacque slowly get to know fane. Jacque learns that fane is a grey wolf werewolf as know as Canis Lupus. And she is fane's true mate which I throught was super cool. As the book goes along and fane is telling Jacque and her friends more and more about the werewolf world. We learn a huge fucking mind blowing twist I've EVER.... read in a book before. That Jacque's father was a grey wolf and her mother is human. Which means she half- grey wolf you can only be mated with a grey wolf id there is grey wolf in your bloodline. So that added even more awesome factor to the story. Again as I kept reading leaning more about this totally awesome story we learn that something else in coldspring as already claimed jacque as there mate and told fane to not unpack. So I was thinking who the hell do you think you are you peice of meat dirt. So anyway what has to happen is both grey wolf werewolfs have to fight each other for rights to the mateing ceremony also known as the blood rites. So in the end of things the poor bastard dies and I laugh with glee as we dies ( yes I'm werid but you see I'm jen's future husband so I'm doing it for her). The book ends si beautiful with Fane and Jacque saying they love each other and kissing. So yeah this is my new favorite Werewolf series now. I totally can't wait to start blood rites ( which if you all are wondering is book 2) I personally can't wait to read the next 7 books yes this is a 8 book series which is so awesome and cool I know right. Thank you Quinn for writing such a beautiful story that I see myself loving for years to come...... ( you totally rock woman LOL.
