Divergent by Veronica Roth

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is--she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself. During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are--and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, Tris also learns that her secret might help her save the ones she loves . . . or it might destroy her.
My Review : Huh I don't know how I feel about this! okay my real rating is actually a 3.5 out of 5. as much as I liked the book I didn't love it, mainly because I found most of the book to be just really flat and boring the book didn't get good until the last 6 chapters or so. I will still continue with the trilogy because I still love the story and tris is still one hell of a badass female character. this is my first distopian novel I've ever read and with that being said I really enjoyed the concept. thank you for everybody who recommended this book to me I thank you. if I could live in this world I would want to be in dauntless because they're such badasses. overall I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to start reading insurgent!!! update : December 24, 2013 okay so after thinking about divergent as a whole I've changed my rating from a 3.75 to a 5 star. this was indeed my first dystopian novel so I'm giving this book what it deserves in my personally opinion anyway. okay so after really thinking long and hard about divergent and really giving the story a fair shot to be amazing for me. i ended up loving this book Hole hardheartedly and i cant wait to start reading the next two books Insurgent and Allegiant.

Fallen by Lauren Kate

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her. Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.
My Review : For the last 4 years or so I've been hearing about Lauren Kate's fallen series and how epic and beautiful it is. So after I was gifted the whole series from my best friend ever. I started fallen every excited and found the writing style to be very strange but beautiful. From the first moment we meet Luce price I loved her as a character she was kind mysterious and fascinating. And then there's Daniel he very rude smart ass ( which I found to be so funny and enjoyable) and then we have Cam the nicest sweetest guy you're ever meet he was such an awesome character who for some reason picks fights with Daniel which I found to be Hilarious. My one and only problem with this book is nothing happened for like 300 pages. But besides that I really really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it 5/5 stars. okay after rereading the ending of the book again I truly understand why fallen had to be slow towards the beginning it was such a beautiful book with amazing characters and such an unexpected twist ending :) Lauren kate you're my new favorite author. I'll be read torment in January I want to take a break from this story for a month but yes I'll read the second book in January. such a dark and beautiful written book 5/5 outstanding stars. ps. if you loved the hush, hush series then this book is for you...

Prince of Wolves by Quinn Loftis

Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17-year-old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer are going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis lupis, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?
My Review : OH MY WEREWOLVES 5/5 STARS. Prince of wolves by Quinn Loftis is the first book in the grey wolves series. Let me just let you I was in love with the writing style two paragraphs in. ( that's amazing) prince of wolves starts off with a girl named Jacque Pierce staring out the window at the Henry's house because they were getting a foreign exchange student named Fane who is from Romanian. ( how awesome is that and unique ) well what changes things real fast is that fane speaks to Jacque in her throughts and says " soon". Which freaks her out so she runs to her phone and calls Jen and Sally her two best friends ( who are funny as all hell mainly Jen). After they calm her down and tells her maybe she was just tired she goes to sleep with sally and Jen. The next morning she finds out her mother is making a spread from fane abd the Henry's for lunch. The book is based in Coldspring, Texas ( I FREAKING LOVE TEXAS so about 20 pages in I already loved the book with passion). So as some people may know Texas is hot so I just throught that was so awesome I don't know it was just awesome. Anyway back to what I was saying, as jen ,sally and jacque slowly get to know fane. Jacque learns that fane is a grey wolf werewolf as know as Canis Lupus. And she is fane's true mate which I throught was super cool. As the book goes along and fane is telling Jacque and her friends more and more about the werewolf world. We learn a huge fucking mind blowing twist I've EVER.... read in a book before. That Jacque's father was a grey wolf and her mother is human. Which means she half- grey wolf you can only be mated with a grey wolf id there is grey wolf in your bloodline. So that added even more awesome factor to the story. Again as I kept reading leaning more about this totally awesome story we learn that something else in coldspring as already claimed jacque as there mate and told fane to not unpack. So I was thinking who the hell do you think you are you peice of meat dirt. So anyway what has to happen is both grey wolf werewolfs have to fight each other for rights to the mateing ceremony also known as the blood rites. So in the end of things the poor bastard dies and I laugh with glee as we dies ( yes I'm werid but you see I'm jen's future husband so I'm doing it for her). The book ends si beautiful with Fane and Jacque saying they love each other and kissing. So yeah this is my new favorite Werewolf series now. I totally can't wait to start blood rites ( which if you all are wondering is book 2) I personally can't wait to read the next 7 books yes this is a 8 book series which is so awesome and cool I know right. Thank you Quinn for writing such a beautiful story that I see myself loving for years to come...... ( you totally rock woman LOL. My Review : J.A. REDMERSKI HAS DONE IT YET AGAIN 5/5 STARS. holy fuck talk about a twisted cliffhanger ending. kindred by J.A. Redmerski is the second book in the darkwoods trilogy and this book was even better than the first like that's even possible. Isaac Mayfair is hiding a dark secret and when you find out what that is about i was seriously wearing my ( what the living fuck face)the romance was so damn cute and wonderful in this book. i was a bit scared at the beginning because most middle books of trilogies are not nearly as good as the first but this is totally not the case i grow to really loved the story line. i loved learning more about Aramei and the blood bond and more about the two werewolves clans the Mayfair and Vargas bloodlines and just find the history and characters to be so interesting. this book was definitely the most intense book of the trilogy so far so freaking excited to read The Ballad of Aramei i can only imagine what is going to happen in the epic finale. kindred by J.A. Redmerski book 2 if the darkwoods trilogy has 346 pages and 32 chapters 5/5 STARS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BOOK I LOVED IT thank you Jessica for writing another beautiful book :D if you would like to see my video book review on Kindred click the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1256t...

My Review : OMFG THE BEST BOOK THAT HAS EVER EXISTED 5/5 STARS Life is too short to be afraid. Before i start my review i want to personally thank J.A. REDMERSKI for not only writing this amazing book and sharing it with the world but also for sending me a copy of this journey. basically what this story is about a girl named Camryn Bennett who boards a greyhound bus on the way to nowhere in search of something different in life. where on this bus leaving Raleigh, North Carolina she meet the wonderful amazing Andrew Parrish who has his own problems and they soon form a friendship with each other and slowly turns into more than just a friendship. the both of them start to realize they like to be around each other and misses the others company when they are not together. as you go through the book with these two amazing characters as you also start to get to know who they are as people. as Andrew beginning to each Camryn how to live and to not be afraid to speak her mind.as they travel the road on there road trip Camryn starts breaking all the rules she set up when she got on the bus ( don't fall in love and don't let anyone in) and a part of her doesn't want to break them but another part of her does not care either. i really enjoyed the sex scenes in this book they were not too graphic and it was so enjoyable to watch them grow close to each other and learn they needed each other. this book as so many good parts in it. i personally love how much was added to the book like the rolling stones, the civil wars and muse as well as bad company. the edge of never is now my favorite Contemporary novel i have ever read. and i totally see why everyone is so book crazy over this story. i loved how as the book went alone the scenes between Andrew and camryn got even cuter and more adorable. they are now my favorite book couple. thank you so much J.A. REDMERSKI has 40 chapters with 423 pages. This book made me want to live more and see things and experience new and different things and i learned that life is to short to be afraid of what others will think and learned living in the moment is such a out of the box thought and i hope to someday do what camryn did and see where i end up? the last 20 or so pages is some of the most intense writing i have ever read. this book tugged at my heart strings at every turn. Here are some of the quotes from the book i just fell in love with : (chapter 27 page 298)Two people unable to cry finally cry together and if the world ended today,we would be fulfilled. (chapter 30 page 323)The heart always wins out over the mind,The heart, although reckless and suicidal and a masochist on its own, always gets its way. ( chapter 35 page 379-380) I was taking the long road and camryn was taking the road to nowhere and it just so happens that they led to the same place. This book felt so real for me,i loved reading this story and seeing how life takes you off course and takes you on an adventure that you never saw yourself going on. i have never cried while reading a book before.i just really started loving the characters with every chapter i love how they started changing and growing together started loving each other with was the most beautiful painful and special book i have ever read. thank you once again J.A REDMERSKI for writing such a beautiful story and letting the world see it with such happy and wonderful eyes. if you want to see my video book review over the edge of never please click the link below : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em0Wy9...

Possession by Dejana Vuletić

Here's the blurb : Twelve years have flown by, and despite the threats on her daughter's life, Dessa strives to live in the light. Her memories still haven't completely returned, and her fear of the unknown feeds a paranoia that slowly drives Dessa away from those she loves and into the arms of her enemies. With McKenna's future on the line, Dessa searches for answers, but the only person who seems to have those answers is the man she vowed never to associate with again: Balthazar Korinthos. With allegiances tested, the bonds of love broken, and the tenuous line between ally and foe becoming completely nonexistant, the Keepers are in for the toughest fight of their lives.
My Review: OH MY Freaking CHEESECAKE. possession is the second book in the keeper of light trilogy and let me say this book was fantastic awesomeness from the first page something funny weird or wonderful was happening it took me a good month to read this bitchen sequel. because I love this world of the keepers so much Dessa, Chris Pa Ricky also Skylar are such wonderful characters I could read about them from for 30 books. first to start off with Dessa goes through so much in this book. and has her on edge because she learns that the Korinthos brothers want mckenna for some plan of there which mckenna is Chris and dessa's daughter which i loved it was so cute and added lots to the book.there are lots of back-flash scene through out the book which are dessa in her past 5,000 years ago which she learns that she has a romantic history with her enemy Balthazar Korinthos which i was totally not expecting as i was reading i was like WTF but it is somewhat special because at the end of poison dessa's dark half Desdemona was merged inside of her so it was Desdemona that that feel in love with Balthazar not dessa herself but when you since Desdemona is dessa it was kind of dessa to. this book has so many twists and turns throughout the book it will make your head spin a 180. this one has a shit load more action that book 1 and i enjoyed this book even more than poison and i don't say that about many books so you know i really enjoyed this one.this book also makes place 12 years after the end of poison which for the first 3 or 4 chapters i didn't really like but as you read you learn to like it a lot more. i like this book more because its more of an adult story than poison we learn a little more about Ricky's and dessa's parents and when you find it out its so sad that it will make you cry. this book make me cry all the time because Dejana has such a way of writing it will make the strongest person weep tears of rejoice and sadness. i have grown to love and adore this beautiful written characters that i never want to say goodbye to them. i cant believe there is only one more book and them its going to be over and that bring tears to my eyes because this world and its characters have forever changed me it brings so much realism to your eyes and lets you see the truth of death and pain. Dejana does not sugar coat death which lots of author do which im glad Dejana does not it shows that is story is more true than others. and last the horrible cliffhanger at the end was horrible was like what the bloody fuck was that i was turning the pages to find more to discover that there was none and i was pissed off. Dejana i'm coming for you It was an amazing story i was totally not disappointed in it, you'll be crying at the sad parts and screaming at the bad guys. Possession by Dejana Vuletić is the second book in the keeper of light trilogy and is 313 pages. I NEED Purification NOW..... 5/5 STARS. if you want to see my video review of possession please click the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHN3Py...

Poison by Dejana Vuletić

Here's the blurb : After being abandoned by her parents when she was only eight years old, Dessa Ambrose struggles to stay in control of her life and escape her inner demons. Her senior year of high school marks the end of an era, and the day she meets Christopher Calder, a young man who holds the key to her future and the key to her heart, Dessa realizes her life will never be the same. Not only does Christopher seem to know more about Dessa than she does, but he also doesn't seem to be quite as human as Dessa was led to believe. His eyes emit an unearthly glow when he is near her, and he possesses strength and power beyond any mortal being. He's not human. That much is clear. Here's the catch, though: Dessa isn't human, either. When the ghosts of her tainted past return with a thirst for vengeance, Dessa must decide what is really worth fighting for. She must choose between saving herself and saving those she cares about. But when the enemy you are fighting is yourself, how are you supposed to win?
My reivew : In a world where times is meaningless and lovers have been together for more than 5,000 years. fate has much in store for dessa and Chris. I love this book so much. i got poison from the author herself because i asked her if she could send me one for review, so she sent me one and i could not thank here enough for this outstanding book. first off i loved how different the story was i mean the keepers how different of a story can you get. i loved the writing it was amazing i love how every page was so beautifully written and i love all of the characters Dessa, Chris,pa, Ricky and even Skylar i liked. i loved how so much happened in a book that was only 302 pages i think the story of the keepers of earth was a great and fascinating the story was. i am very Impatiently wait the release of book 2 i think its going to be amazing and i cant wait to see what going to happen next :D there was a twist in this book that i never saw coming NEVER........... LOL i loved this book so much it will always have a special place in my heart. i loved the romance between Dessa and Chris it was so sweet and i felt lots of GET A ROOM MOMENTS in there. i loved how the main story of the book started in the first chapter of the book, unlike some books you have to wait 30 to 50 pages to get into the base of the story i love that part. i would recommend this book to anyone who wants something different and just an awesome read i hope everyone loves POISON. The Prophecy of Godrick

hey everyone my name is Jeremy chenevert and I"m writing my first novel called The Prophecy of Godrick and its the first book in the Camelot chronicles series. As of right now i am thinking of 4 books but that could possibly change to 6 at a later date. Also as of right now it is set for a May 10, 2014 release date. which i am super pumped for i am really doing some hard core editing so you guys get the best possible novel ever. so i have a blurb and cover for you and let me me know what you guys think?
here the blurb: Ethan Godrick, bookstore employee and struggling grad student, always thought the stories he'd been told as a boy were just myths - he'd always believed none of it was real. But when he comes across a musty, old book written about the legend that's mystified humankind for centuries, he finds himself catapulted into the very universe he'd dismissed as mere fantasy: Medieval Camelot. With King Arthur ascending the throne, his half-sister Morgana le Fay has dispatched assassins to end the King's life. Dissension has been born in Camelot, and dark magic is tearing the medieval city apart. But what role does Ethan play in all of this? Why did the book bring him to Camelot? How can an adventurous, technology-dependant nobody be of any use in a place where magic thrives off the weak, eradicates the strong, and makes even the least of us...into kings?
